Drivers’ attention is drawn to the rule relating to wheel arches.  See extract below:

10. BODYWORK

  • A single 2" (50mm) diameter inspection hole must be included in bumpers on the driver’s side. Gusseting of the near side front and off side rear wheel arch IS ALLOWED. Gusseting is permitted between the centre line of the front and rear axles, where the side skirt joins the wheel arches. Cars fitted with integral rear panel and bumper may substitute them for a metal panel of original shape and size.

Drivers are also advised that the construction of Roll Cages are under constant review.  The permitted rollcage hoops are shown in the diagram below, to correlate with the relevant wording of the rule:

12. ROLL CAGES

  • At least two diagonal downbars must be fitted from the rear face of the driver rollcage hoop (at the highest point); one to the near side and one to the off side rear arch areas. These downbars require one diagonal brace between them from the driver’s side rollcage to the near side rear arch.
